This is a guide to the best Battledome weapons available for a budget of 12,000 NP. I also have a lesser version with costs only 7,000 NP. This guide isn't meant for pets with extremely high stats. For example, this weapon set is perfect for my Kougra who has 20 HP, 14 defence, and 16 attack. It may be weak, but it destroys pets with similar stats.

Tips:

• Never use one-time use items.
• Always carry a healing item.
• Always carry a freezing item.
• Just because a weapon can only be used by a certain type of Neopet does not mean that it is better than other items.
• Never spend NP if you can't afford it!
• Train, train, train!

Current NP: 12,000

Aside from actual weapons, healing items are the most important thing in a battle. The most common healing items are elixirs. But remember the first tip? Never use one-time use items. There is no reason to spent thousands on ten elixirs that don't even heal enough to matter anyway! There is a better item:

Slime Potion

Slime Potion is a once-per-battle item that heals your pet 10 HP. This is usually a significant amount if your budget is 12,000 NP. Although the average Slime Potion costs 2,000 NP, it's still well worth it.

Now we're shopping for attack weapons. There's an endless amount of these, so how can we possibly choose? Well, how about a weapon that not only does damage to your opponent, but gives HP to you as well? Perfect! That item is Caustic Potion.

Caustic Potion

Caustic Potion does 1 - 5 damage to your opponent and gives it to you. Buy three of these. At 2,000 each, it may be a half of our budget, but, again, it's worth it.

Here's where the lesser version comes in. If you simply don't have 12,000 NP to spend, replace the Caustic Potions with Purple Blob Potions. They do up to 5 damage, but do not restore your pet's HP. You can get them for as little as 99 NP.

Caustic Potions are good, but every item has its flaws. Since Caustics are pure earth attack, an enemy could easily reduce the damage done with any of the endless amount of items that protects you from certain elements. That's why we need one more attack item, the Improved Lightning Beam.

Improved Lightning Beam

The ILB, as it is commonly known, is a very common weapon with great attack power. Capible of doing up to 7 damage, it's a must-have for low budget battlers. We're going to get two, so they will set us back another 4,000 NP.

Current NP: 1,000 (1,700/7,000 for lesser)

Now for the freezing item. There are many to choose from, but we're going with the Yellow Frost Cannon. The Yellow, Red, Green and Blue Frost Cannons are equal, but Yellow is only 400 NP.

Now for the final item. This one is just in case you get in a tight position and you need to defend yourself. You probably won't need it much, but let's get a Large Metal Shield for 550 NP.
